With just five months to go until the largest tax increase since World War II, a.k.a. “Taxmageddon,” some people are becoming concerned about the impact it will have on the economy. All 50 states would benefit from an extension of the Bush-era tax cuts, though some more than others. This Fiscal Fact shows estimates of the tax relief for each state, based on the latest IRS data on the distribution of income, tax credits, and deductions within each state.
